AuscalPro

AUSCAL PRO is a mature, state of the art equipment calibration management software system that meets the requirements of ISO 9000:1994 (section 4.11), ISO 9001:1994 (section 4.11), ISO 9002:1994 (section 4.11) and the new ISO 9001:2000 (section 7.6) standard which supersedes the 1994 standards.

The first Auscal version was released in 1995 and since that time has constantly been enhanced and refined. Specifications for the latest AUSCAL PRO were drawn from contributions from professionals in the aerospace, public utilities and manufacturing industries.

Comprehensive Equipment Information

The core of AUSCAL PRO is the equipment (instrument or gage) record.

All instrument/gage information is stored in the one location and is broken into the following sections:
  • General information such as category, model number, status etc. Additionally, you can create an instrument/gage hierarchical relationship linking one item to others in the file.
  • Asset information stores such information relevant to the acquisition/disposal of the item.
  • Location displays the current whereabouts and person using the item.
  • An unlimited number of Calibration Tests can be created for each instrument/gage. You have complete flexibility when defining the calibration frequency for each test and calibration interval eg. number of uses, time or both.
  • A quick online snapshot of the Calibration History of each instrument/gage is also available from this one location. Of course a fully detailed history record is also available as a report.
  • User Fields also allow you to create up to 6 new fields of information - screenshot
  • Check out/check in capability with online tracking is standard.
  • Automatic generation of calibration steps that is based on a user defined number of calibration points reduces error and setup time - screenshot
  • AUSCAL PRO easily handles equipment with different input and output measurement units in the calibration test.

Calibration

The single entry of a calibration test result automatically updates:
  • the equipment history, both onscreen and reports
  • traceability reports
  • calibration scheduling details - screenshot
  • AUSCAL PRO automatically (optional feature) calculates a pass or fail status for each test and the maximum error encountered thus eliminating the potential for human error.
  • Recording of individual step results centralises all calibration data.

Scheduling

  • Maximum flexibility is provided when scheduling calibration tests. Choose any period into the future in conjunction with a specific category and/or locations for forward planning of workload.
  • AUSCAL PRO never lets you forget a calibration test - the Overdue Calibrations which can always be displayed shows an overdue item of equipment immediately it falls due for calibration.

Management Tools and Reports

  • Charts and graphs provide a quick graphical analysis of your system for informed managment decisions.
  • Graphs are available based on error or reading of a calibration test result - screenshot
  • Charts present information such as passed vs. failed pieces of equipment and are available for error or reading of a calibration test result - screenshot
  • Reports The many standard reports provide information to assist you to schedule your regular calibration cycles and better manage your calibration system. Many of the standard reports have different filter options eg. inactive or active items to provide you with maximum flexibility.
  • User Defined Reports allow you to create your own reports based on information contained in the instrument and calibration records.
  • In addition to User Defined Report you can also create your own reports using Crystal Reports.

Security

To ensure the integrity of your data and to protect valuable or sensitive information, AUSCAL PRO ensures effective, secure record keeping.
  • User access to specific functions can be controlled down to individual screen level
  • Restrictions on what reports each user can print
  • An audit trail tracks and logs all changes made by AUSCAL PRO users
