The GoBook MR-1 comes standard with an ergonomically designed keyboard, four wireless capabilities, including WLAN, PAN (Bluetooth), WWAN and GPS, and a 5.6” Wide SVGA outdoor viewable LCD display (touchscreen featuring patent pending DynaVue™ technology coming). Docking options include a full function vehicle dock for mounting in vehicles as well as a multi-IO mini-office dock so the unit can be used in a mobile office "on the go" or in an office environment.

  • In addition to a heated hard drive, the GoBook MR-1 has an CCFL heater to improve display brightness in a cold environment. The heater includes a film and heater strip that is bonded over the CCFL area of the display. It is designed to activate when the temperature is cold enough to affect display brightness

Security
  • Fingerprint Scanner with UPEK swipe style (optional) can be used for all standard security uses
  • Trusted Platform Module (TPM 1.2):
    • TPM provides a platform root of trust which uniquely identifies a particular platform and provides various cryptography capabilities including hardware-protected storage
    • Enable or disable TPM in the System BIOS
  • Integrated Application Lockdown capability
  • BIOS level passwords (supervisor and user). When set, no one can access the unit or the BIOS utility without entering the correct password
  • Stealth Mode — allows user to disable sound and light features such as system beeps, the fan, and the display backlight
  • Smart Card (optional) enables use of smart card technology for added security.

Flexible Expansion Capability! Configuration flexibility and future technology growth capability is provided via expansion modules. These modules fit between the computer chassis and the battery. The optional primary expansion module offers a second USB, RS232 9-Pin D, and TPM standard. An additional optional expansion module offers PCMCIA. Future possible expansion modules include: Telco modem, Mil-STD radios, Smartcard, 2D imager, etc. This expansion capability "future proofs" the GoBook MR-1 so that it can accommodate future technologies as they become available.
